How to Become a High-Performing Entrepreneur

Welcome, fellow entrepreneurs and business leaders! I want to share with you some key principles that have helped me and the entrepreneurs I work with achieve remarkable results. Becoming a high-performing entrepreneur isn’t about working endless hours; it’s about optimizing your time, energy, and focus for maximum impact. Here are three strategies that will propel your performance and leadership to new heights:

1. Delegate Administrative Tasks

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned as an entrepreneur is to delegate as many administrative tasks as possible. Your time and energy are valuable assets that should be spent solving big-picture problems that grow your business, not on tasks that can be handled by others. Great CEOs don’t try to do everything themselves—they organize talent in a specific direction to achieve a common goal. By delegating tasks that don’t require your expertise, you’ll free up mental space for what really matters: driving the vision of your business forward.

2. Invest in Your Mental & Physical Health

High performance isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter. And to do that, you need to invest in your mental and physical well-being. Make sure you’re working out regularly, getting at least 8 hours of sleep each night, meditating, and learning something new daily. These habits not only sharpen your mind but also increase your capacity for creative problem-solving, leadership, and resilience in the face of challenges. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

3. Schedule Time to Think

In the rush of everyday operations, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of “doing” and neglect the essential act of thinking. Leaders like the founder of Chick-fil-A famously scheduled time specifically for thinking. This intentional practice allows you to step back, reflect, and use your greatest asset—your mind—to innovate and make strategic decisions. Don’t let the demands of your schedule overwhelm the need to spend time in thought. Plan time for this—whether it’s once a day or a few hours each week. Your business will thank you for it.
