If they had talked endlessly about the grind before ever winning, it might have sounded like excuses. The lesson: let the victories come first, then the world will respect the story behind the grind.

3. Protect Your Energy From Envy

Human nature hasn’t changed much. Even in da Vinci’s day, envy was real. Today, when you broadcast every detail of your grind, you’re opening yourself up to unnecessary opinions and resentment. Protecting your work-in-progress shields you from that negative energy—and lets you focus entirely on building, not defending.

4. Results Speak Louder Than Updates
